These offset rear monoballs for the rollover strut on F8X, G8X, & E9X M2/M3/M4 correct suspension geometry and roll center on cars that have been lowered a lot. When lowering ride height the suspension arms end up at a different angle than original, which will affect their orientation, travel, and operation - specifically affecting the roll center of the car. Our bearings replace the inner bushing on the subframe.

This is a spherical monoball bearing with an offset housing and slightly different in design and purpose than our standard inner bearing upgrade (link). The offset housing corrects for lowered ride height and installs with the mounting hole in the highest position. This restores the geometry of the rear suspension closer to original. Unlike others we chose to replace the inner bushing instead of the outer because it gave us an opportunity for a larger bearing capable of higher loads and the outer bushing is a sealed bearing already. The stock outer bearing is already a monoball design and there is not much improvement over the stock part.

The spherical bearing inside is a full solid bearing capable of sustaining high loads and with zero deflection. It's similar to the inner bearing found on the GT4 race cars but with a higher load rating. Because of the solid, non-sealed design, this is only recommended for track and race cars. For street use, we recommend our non-offset Sealed Bearing Kit (see Related Items below).

This monoball rear bushing replaces the OEM rubber installed on the subframe for the rear rollover struts (aka camber arm or spring arm). The offset housing is zinc-plated steel and we recommend a tack weld to hold it in place on the rear subframe. Install the housing so the bearing sits at the highest position (and aligned plumb). The bearing is replaceable without having to remove the housing.

Sold as a complete kit and fits E9X M3, F87 / G87 M2, F80 / G80 M3, and F82 / G82 M4. It may fit other models with the similar rear suspension (E9X 335i, E82 135i, E82 1M). Other spherical rear suspension pieces are recommended (see Related Items below).

Made in the USA.
