BUT IF YOU’RE LOOKING TO RETAIN AN OE THREE-POINT SEAT BELT IN A POSITION THAT WORKS FOR YOU, WHAT DO YOU DO?

When installing race seats for track days, factory 3 point belt usage is typically lost. In order to maintain street legality in many places, you must continue to have the factory 3 point belt system in the vehicle, and able to clip into a receptacle.

Our 3-Point Factory Seat Belt to VAC Floor Mount Kit includes the needed components to utilized the factory 3-point belts after the original buckle/seat has been replaced (when using one of our Floor Mount Adapter sets or Race Seat Installation kits). These can be bolted above or sandwich between FMAs for various driver preferences. Super simple way to keep you legal!

Our kit will does not contain the buckle sensor so does not shut-off the BMW occupancy light or seat belt light.

Z3, Z4 & 4-door BMWs require a 2nd bracket to mount the outside belt-reel that typical attaches to the OEM seat. This is included in our 4dr kit. Please select this option above

VAC Tech Tips :

• This kit is required for 3-point factory belt retention in all 4-door & Z3/Z4 models.
• It is applicable but not required for all other BMWs that have the seat belt buckle attached to the chassis, rather than the seat.
  • If your also installing racing harnesses, this kit makes our Lap Belt Mounting Bracket Kit (VAC-LBMBK) redundant:
  • Simply supplement a harness eye-bolt instead of the included bolt and nut, and you can utilize both. The 3 point buckle and your harness lap belt can snap on to the eye-bolt!

Technicians Note:

As all race seats are slightly different, this kit may not offer perfect clearance around the the edge of the seat for the 3 point belt to completely restrain the driver. We sell this kit to satisfy the need for a 3-point belt to be in the vehicle, we still strongly recommend that the proper restraints are used when driving vehicles that are equipped with fixed back race seats.
