A new addition to the 'F-Series' which now equips more than half a typical NASCAR Nextel Cup field in the USA, the 'F6R' friction material is a lower-torque alternative to 'F2', with a very similar performance curve to provide stable and predictable braking from high speeds.
'F6R' was formulated to address specific applications needing medium to low torque with a high temperature threshold. These are almost all rear-axle applications for front-drive, and live-axle rear-drive applications. High heat tolerances with consistent repeatability were the two major requirements for this formulation.
NASCAR teams trialling the product have successfully used 'F2' at the front and 'F6' on the rear.
